This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Peak Accountings (“we”, “us”, “our”), tax consultants providing Income Tax Return (ITR) filing, GST and Audit services from Madhepura, Bihar, India, collects, uses and protects information when we communicate with you through our “Bluepeak Accountings” application, which uses the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
1. Information We Collect
When you opt in to receive WhatsApp messages from us or message us on WhatsApp, we may collect and process:
- Your name (including your WhatsApp profile name);
- Your WhatsApp phone number;
- The content of messages you send to us and that we send to you, including any documents or images you choose to share (for example, tax or GST documents);
- Message metadata such as date, time and delivery/read status.
We do not collect your WhatsApp contacts, location, or any information beyond what is needed to provide our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Sending filing reminders and due-date notices for ITR, GST and audit compliance;
- Sending status updates on your GST and ITR filings;
- Requesting documents required to provide our services;
- Responding to your questions and providing customer support;
- Maintaining records of our communications as required for professional and legal purposes.
3. Consent and Opt-Out
We send WhatsApp messages only to clients who have opted in to receive them. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, or by emailing admin@bluepeakaccountings.com. After you opt out we will stop sending you non-essential WhatsApp messages.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share information only: (a) with Meta Platforms, Inc. / WhatsApp, as necessary to deliver messages via the WhatsApp Business Platform, subject to their own terms and privacy policy; (b) with government tax portals or authorities when filing on your behalf at your instruction; and (c) where required by applicable law, regulation or legal process.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for the duration of our professional relationship, and for any period required under Indian tax, accounting or other applicable laws. When it is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. WhatsApp messages are transmitted over Meta’s infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. See our User Data Deletion Instructions.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data via WhatsApp.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
10. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.
